All About the Member
Skaie Hull is the youngest member of the team at age 32, but her passion, knowledge, and dedication to the region and its community are unmatched.
A mother, local journalist, and proud born-and-bred Coastie, Skaie has been a strong advocate for the Central Coast community, reporting on regional issues for over a decade. She is deeply committed to giving back to the community and driving opportunity and growth in the region.
As a former NBN News Reporter, Skaie extensively covered Central Coast Council from its amalgamation and through its administration period. She possesses an in-depth understanding of the region, its community, and council matters. Her investigative work has shed light on significant community concerns, including uncovering the early access of restricted funds before public disclosure. Skaie also played a key role in saving community assets from being sold off and advocated for flood-impacted residents in The Entrance Ward and around Tuggerah Lakes.
Ms. Hull is known for her drive, tenacity, and keen eye for detail. She does not shy away from tackling hard and controversial issues and is always on a mission to find solutions that best serve the community.
Skaie is an active supporter of local charities and community events. She proudly serves as a Community Ambassador for Central Coast Kids In Need, a local volunteer organization that supports the well-being of seriously ill children and their families by alleviating the financial burden of medications, equipment, travel, and accommodation.
She holds a degree in Journalism and Public Relations, having started her journalism career with Seven News while studying at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Her career has also included roles at 9 News, WIN News, Coast Community News, and Coast FM, as well as PR/Media positions with YMCA NSW and TAFE NSW.
Skaie grew up in the East Gosford ward and attended Empire Bay Primary School. She spent much of her childhood in the Peninsula and Hardys Bay/Killcare community with her father, Douglas Hull. Although she has lived in various parts of the region, she believes her voice and expertise are best positioned to support The Entrance ward and its residents.
She joined the Team Central Coast Independent movement because she firmly believes that local government should prioritize community and progress over politics.

Mission Statement
Team Central Coast are a team of independent, like-minded residents who are dedicated to a singular mission: re-electing a Central Council with strong leadership, clear direction and sensible policies.
Drawing from diverse backgrounds and successes across sports, business and community service, Team Central Coast unites individuals with a shared commitment to integrity, transparency and accountability.
We believe that effective governance hinges on collaboration and pragmatism, not big party politics and private interests.
Councils can not function unless they work as a team. As a group, our approach is founded on collaboration and inclusivity. By prioritising the voices and needs of every resident, Team Central Coast will leverage our collective experiences to drive meaningful outcomes, find solutions to problems, and unlock the potential of the Central Coast.
From finding ways to create choice and affordability in the local housing market, to unlocking opportunities for more local employment and industries, we are committed to delivering results that leverage our region’s many advantages.
Together, we hope to build a brighter future for the Central Coast.
One community. One team. One goal.
